Heather Spear
Founder and Event Planner

Heather Spear is widely known for her talent and artistry in creating young, fresh, beautifully unique, and stylish events. Heather handles all levels of design and planning, specializing in multi-day celebrations that reflect the unique style of her clients and the location.  Planning and designing events since 2000, she has successfully celebrated over 500 events from 20 to over 350 guests.

Heather’s strong reputation grew through her ability to stay calm in any situation and the essential belief to respect, understand, and listen to her clients’ wants and needs. Emphasizing the importance of establishing a personal relationship with each client, Heather ensures that the full potential of the couple’s vision is realized. She creates the perfect fusion of function and style while incorporating her own insight and expertise. Her clients share an appreciation for her incomparable work ethic, honesty, and the ability to create and execute a flawless event.

Prior to the formation of Summit Soiree, Heather gained invaluable experience as an operations manager of a destination management company at the prestigious Resort at Squaw Creek.  Due to her time and experience dedicated to the industry, Heather is widely respected by the area’s leading service professionals and vendors, and has a vast knowledge of Lake Tahoe’s premiere event venues.

Heather graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a BA in Environmental Studies and Psychology. She resides in Truckee, California with her husband and three children.

Tory Wilson
Wedding Planner and Coordinator

Tory’s introduction into wedding and event planning began at the Resort at Squaw Creek where she held the Wedding Sales Manager position for three and a half years; selling, planning and executing special events. During this time Tory was introduced to Summit Soiree, and joined the company in the summer of 2010. She prides herself in making sure her clients get personalized attention and feel completely confident about their Big Day. She makes sure she understands their needs and expectations, and strives to exceed them, all the while making them feel relaxed and at ease on their wedding day. Tory enjoys starting with a blank canvas and contributing to all the little details that in turn create a beautiful and unique event.

 

 

Caitlin Murphy
Wedding Planner and Coordinator

Caitlin Murphy is the newest member to the Summit Soiree Team. She has a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of New Hampshire. During school she began working as a Wedding Planning Intern and continued on to work as a day-of coordinator at Weddings for a privately held Hospitality Company in New England. She also has experience as a Meetings and Special Events Concierge from the Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common. Caitlin has just recently relocated to Tahoe City, California and is excited to share her creativity and experience in joining Summit Soiree.
